5. IMPROVING THE ESSAY
Especially for english research papers, a good essay is usually the result of writing and rewriting. If you have time, a great idea to leave your essay for a few days to re fix it. This will give you enough time to see your point of view on what you have written to then think again. Some questions can be asked when you’re repairing an essay is:
• Do I have to answer questions with as complete?
• Does my essay have been clearly divided into introduction, content and conclusion?
• Are my paragraphs and arguments clearly related and relevant?
• Is my argument is balanced and based on research that enough?
• What are examples and quotations used are relevant to my answer?
• Do I have to use a consistent reference structure?
• Do I have to refer the whole sample and quote me?
• Do I have reached the limit of the number of words allowed?
Do not be disappointed if you find some errors in your essay, because that’s what the fix of this essay. If you find you need more info, be calm and try to find the flaws. Only a few students who managed to write an essay perfectly without going through a phase of improvement of this essay.
